An Akure Magistrate’s Court in Ondo State has
convicted and sentenced a middle-aged man,
identified as Busuyi Ajibola, to two months’
imprisonment for stealing maize worth N1, 000.
Ajibola was said to have committed the offence at
Ago Ego on Idanre Road, Akure, the Ondo State
capital on July 30, 2017.

In her ruling, the judge, Mrs. Oluwafunmi Edwin,
said “on a closer look at the charge and the fact of
the case, it was glaring that the convict committed
the act deliberately, thus, he was found guilty.”
Mrs Edwin then ruled that Ajibola should be jailed
for two months.
