Liverpool are ready to send a private jet to pick up Sadio Mane, so he can face Chelsea on Tuesday night, according to ESPN FC.
Mane has been away at the Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon and his country Senegal were eliminated in the quarter-final stages by Cameroon on Saturday, with Mane missing the crucial spot-kick in the shoot-out.
Liverpool have only won one game without the Senegalese forward and are hoping he can feature in their Premier League clash with the league leaders at Anfield.
The Reds have in the past, arranged a chartered jet for Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino so they could quickly return home from international duty with Brazil.
Manager Jurgen Klopp recently admitted he had “mixed emotions” about Senegal’s progress in the competition.
“We knew about the Africa Cup of Nations before — it is the same for all teams,” he said.
“We have a lot of respect for what they are doing there. It is not too cool being in the middle of our season.”
